Ali Bishop ON MUSIC....... Music is very subjective. It means different things to different people, yet it is a universal concept. This can become a very complex subject and has become so recently. I try to stay away from too many definitions, because they tend to become well... "defining". I can't speak for anyone else's music, so I only speak about my own and let people draw their own conclusions...if they choose. So whenever I say "music", I'm usually referring to "my music". Music is a connection with a larger energy. Heck, music IS energy. Music is vibration. Vibration is the key to life. All life vibrates-has it's own frequency. Music is no different. It has it's own frequency, one we cannot understand or process, (it all sounds like ringing and bleeps doesn't it?) but we can still feel it and absorb it. There is a logic to music we have yet to decipher. The way of the world would probably be understood better if we could decode music properly. Maybe we'll evolve to the point where we can do so. But that is neither here nor there. All I know is that music as energy hits me in a very profound way. Maybe the way I process it is different than others but I can absorb it's vibrations, it's sounds, it's rhythms. There is a resonance that happens. Basically what I'm trying to say is, MUSIC MAKES ME FEEL GOOD. So my music is an expression of that resonance. That's all. Nothing more. Nothing less. The music isn't particularly deep. I don't try to do too much. My only goal is the most honest expression of that resonance I can give at that time. Hopefully others can find their own way to resonate with the music. If not with my music, than with someone else's. Because after all, it all comes from the same wonderful source doesn't it. Hallelujah. (Sorry about the fragments Sis)
