Flavor of Love on CD

Anthony Edward Heads are turning in the northeastern United States, where one of today's most promising new R&B Pop Latin singers, Anthony Edward, is on the move. But don't just take our word for it listen to the grooves. Sensuously infectious, Anthony Edward is ready to become a musical superstar. Anthony Edward's music will have a familiar ring to both R&B fans and hip-hoppers alike. He has already become an instant hit at Connecticut Latin and R&B venues. Opening for Tyrese, UB40, Black Bean Soup just to name a few. In his teens and early 20's, the singer was and still is a local star at Hartford, Connecticut area clubs, including the East Hartford hangout Stage East, where live music fans, hip-hoppers and ravers congregated. Anthony Edward's debut groove, 'Spanish Love,' is a requested local single, with fans clamoring for more. The multi-talented musician infuses popular Latin styling into a pop/dance R&B format. Anthony Edward's irresistible Italian-American profile has attracted fans from a variety of cultures. 'They approach me all the time,' Anthony Edward's admits, 'They can be 15 or 16, all the way up to their 40's - I don't know why, but they look at me like they know me.' Friendly to all, the singer finds himself at home among black, white and Latino audiences, and Anthony Edward's soulful tenor leaves listeners guessing his ethnicity. The upbeat 'What's it Gonna Be?' is followed by the mid-tempo seducer 'And She Cries' and the emotional, acoustic romancers 'I Want Your Love' and 'To let you know.' It is actually no surprise that a career in music has come so readily. Anthony was raised in the suburbs of Greater Hartford, where singing and dancing took early precedence. His love for music began at the early age of seven, when his fingers touched the family's first piano. As a young entertainer, Anthony Edward honed his skills with the dance troupe Dance Quest in New York City, as well as with the theater group Main Street U.S.A. In his early teens, he continued singing, dancing and modeling, performing nightclubs in Connecticut and New York City. Various day jobs helped make ends meet while Anthony Edward remained focused on his dream of building a professional, home-based recording studio. Today, the 26 year old singer is a full-time musician. It's only proper to mention Anthony Edward's father, Anthony Edward Sr., who achieved regional musical success in the late 1960's as a lead vocalist for Connecticut's Crystal Tones ('Deborah Lee And The Girl I Love.') Anthony Edward Jr.'s desire to take over where his father left off has now become a quest. 'My dad got me into singing when I was very young,' Anthony Edward says. 'And now, I'm following in his footsteps...I want to pick up where he left off.' A self-taught keyboardist, Anthony writes and records at his self-built digital studio in East Hartford with his production partner Chris Vega, where they amassed enough music to bring attention upon themselves. With a constant flow of tunes and lyrics effervescing, Anthony says he is confident that the hits will keep coming for years to come, as he continues to raise the creative bar for himself. 'I love to express myself through music,' He says, adding that he'll go wherever success takes him. Anthony is now setting his sites on sharing his infectious, passionate music with the masses, and if it goes as expected, it won't be long before this artist is a household name from coast to coast.
