Consider An Invasion on CD

Appalachian Translator is a Mifflintown, Pennsylvania-based experimental rock/neo-psychedelic/avant-pop group, consisted of three brothers. The group began in 1995, self-recording and releasing a number of mini-albums, with occasional public performances. 'Consider an Invasion' is their first official full-length album. Throughout their development, the brothers have absorbed many disparate, eclectic influences, from the Beach Boys to Captain Beefheart, from Pink Floyd to Can, from John Coltrane to Scott Walker, from Joy Division to This Heat, from Yes and Genesis to Rush. In September of 2006, they began to record 'Consider An Invasion.' While selections such as 'Who Are Them,' 'False Alarm' and 'Research' date back to 2001 in their conception, others were developed through extensive pre-production and some in-studio improvisation. Recording wrapped in March of 2008, with mixing and mastering completed in May. The result is an album which the group has dubbed it's self-proclaimed 'rock exorcism.'
