Keys to My Heart on CD

It's an exciting time for Christian music! The new contemporary sounds are appealing to mass audiences. This heartfelt music has been a major influence on the members of Niagara's newest Christian band, Bethany. Some of the band members began playing occasionally for Life in the Spirit seminars given in their area (1998-2001). When Joan and Ray met at one of these seminars, they discovered their mutual interest in writing and singing spiritual music. They worked on their songs and eventually joined with Phil, Randy and Tim to form the band, Bethany. Bethany means, "Devoted Disciple". It was the home of Jesus' close friend, Lazarus, where he probably spent much time developing that friendship and enjoying times of rest. The bible says that just outside Bethany, Jesus ascended to the right hand of God, and his disciples were then found in the temple "continually praising God". Bethany hopes to inspire hearts for praise to our awesome God. Over the years they have developed their own style within this close knit group. They believe that God has gifted them with this music and each other for their own growth and to affect others who listen, with the excitement of their faith. The gift of their time, effort and the support of family and close friends resulted in their first CD, "Keys to My Heart". Bethany has been inspired to continue writing and composing new material, and if the Lord is willing and gives them 'The Strength', they hope to be recording a second CD.
