Love Changes Everything on CD

This album features music from the first two years of Jeffrey Carter's tenure as Artistic Director of the Gateway Men's Chorus, a group that one reviewer recently called 'an increasingly esteemed ensemble.' Emotional centerpieces of the album are 'The Parade' from 'Flashpoint: Stonewall' by Roger Bourland; the group's first big commission, 'Rise Above the Walls' by Greg Gilpin (now published by Hal Leonard); and the closing track, a medley of love songs from Andrew Lloyd Webber musicals. The album is purposefully campy at times, with 'If you were gay' from 'Avenue Q' and a trio of 1960's teen pop idol covers. Several songs pay tribute to Judy Garland as well, and are culled from the chorus' 'JUDY!' show.
