An integral part, both as writer and player, of the Miles Davis nonet that created the legendary and hugely influential Birth Of The Cool album in 1948, Mulligan was truly a jazz giant in his own right. Here we find Mulligan performing with, amongst many fine players, fellow cool school hipsters Chet Baker, Lee Konitz, Larry Bunker, Chico Hamilton and Bud Shank.
