Summary

A bestselling collection of essays recounting Lauren Graham’s experience playing Lorelai Gilmore on the beloved TV show Gilmore Girls as well as her decision to reprise her role for Netflix’s limited-series revival, and stories about being a woman in Hollywood.

In her first work of nonfiction, a series of essays told in her intimate, hilarious, and down-to-earth voice, Lauren Graham gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at the making of this new series, shares conversations with cast members, and tells humorous stories from her own life as an actress in Hollywood and New York, including what it’s like being set up at an awards show (“When you’ve just had three hours of hair, makeup, and styling, you’ve already set the bar too high”) and tales from her year on Broadway.
