Reason (Seasoned for Christmas) on CD

Martha Taylor LaCroix (aka Marti Lynn) began her musical career in New Orleans, Louisiana as vocalist with the Dick Stabile Orchestra. The late Dick Stabile was former Musical Director for Dean Martin & Jerry Lewis. Her first album recorded-'Introducing Marti Lynn,' was produced by Wardell Quezergue whose claim to fame- 'Mr. Big Stuff' and 'Express Yourself'- were R&B hits of the early 70s. Her disco version of 'Who Can I Turn To' released in 1979 is still downloaded by disco enthusiasts. During her time in New Orleans, Ms. LaCroix sang in the chorus of the New Orleans Opera Company & worked as background vocalist for many projects recorded at legendary SeaSaint Recording Studio, home of veteran composer & producer, Allen Toussaint. After moving to Los Angeles she performed in the musical 'Get Happy,' based on works of composer, Harold Arlen-wrote, 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' to name one of many-She was noted for her rendition of Arlen's, 'Happiness is Just a Thing Called Joe.' Martha LaCroix has come into her own season & speaks on behalf of so many who find themselves wanting to step out and for "life reasons," have not! This album is proof that it's never too late and anything is possible when done for a good 'Reason.' Her CD, 'The Reason (Seasoned for Christmas),' is a haunting musical journey that embraces the true meaning of Christmas and is a reminder to pass that meaning on through generations. What began as a Christmas present to her father; is now shared with listening audiences around the world. Email your Stepping Out stories to: marthalac@yahoo.com.
