Murder on Flight 502 on DVD

Murder on Flight 502 is an American made-for-television drama mystery thriller starring Robert Stack, Sonny Bono and Farrah Fawcett Majors. TOA airlines flight 502 takes off from New York City to London. A bomb threat in the airline's first-class passenger lounge turns out to be an elaborate prank. Safety official Donaldson receives a letter explaining that at series of murders will take place on Flight 502 before it lands. The backgrounds of the passengers are inspected to find possible suspects. Teenaged passenger Millard Kensington (Danny Bonaduce) is suspected because he has a history as a prankster. Suspicion is focused on passenger Otto Gruenwaldt (Theodore Bickel) who blames fellow passenger Dr. Kenyon Walker (Ralph Bellamy) for failing to save Gruenwaldt's dying wife. Next, a priest on board is revealed to be an imposter and a known thief. Detective Myerson (Hugh O'Brian) looks for the priest, but finds him dead in the dumbwaiter. Soon, a second murder occurs when flight attendant Vera Franklin (Brooke Adams) is found dead by the co-pilot. Suddenly, out of the blue, Myerson takes the passengers hostage after admitting he is the killer. In order to save the passengers, Captain Larkin (Robert Stack) releases the oxygen masks to distract Myerson. With more suspense at 40, 000 feet, the ending may surprise you. A great movie brimming with fantastic actors of the day. (96 minutes - 1975 - Col. - 4:3)
