Cutting Both Ways on CD

Phil Miller started composing & playing guitar in 1968. His first group was Delivery, with whom he cut a record in 1971. In late 1971, Phil helped to found Matching Mole with drummer & vocalist Robert Wyatt, who had just left Soft Machine. They recorded 2 LPs. Record cut at Virgin Town House, London. Back in print after several years of unavailability. Phil Miller made his name as guitarist with the legendary Canterbury bands Delivery, Matching Mole, Hatfield & the North and National Health. After the demise of National Health, he began preparing for a solo career that began with Cutting Both Ways and continues to this day. This was the first album released under his own name, and the first album to feature his band In Cahoots, who are pretty much of a supergroup themselves: Personnel includes: Phil Miller; Elton Dean (saxophone); Peter Lemer, Dave Stewart (keyboards); Hugh Hopper (bass); Pip Pyle (drums).
