Live At Wall&Wall Mode 2024.06.01 [Import] on CD

In one of the most punishing collaborations in recent noise history, Puce Mary and Incapacitants join forces for a blistering live recording, captured at MODE Tokyo, 2024. Set for release on April 11, 2025, via 33-33, this album stands as an unfiltered document of one of the most powerful Incapacitants performances ever recorded, capturing the raw energy and unrelenting force of the moment. This project is a collaboration across generations, bringing together the pioneering Japanese noise duo Incapacitants and the uncompromising sonic force of Puce Mary. Having admired Incapacitants for many years, Puce Mary (Frederikke Hoffmeier) steps into their sonic world with reverence and intensity, merging her own distinct textures with their raw, unrelenting chaos. The recording unfolds in two distinct phases. The first half features Incapacitants' signature full-frequency annihilation-Toshiji Mikawa and Fumio Kosakai conjuring an unrelenting storm of sound, chaotic yet surgically precise. As the set reaches it's breaking point, Puce Mary enters the fray, layering her searing textures and controlled eruptions over the maelstrom, driving the performance into even harsher, more ecstatic realms. There is no post-production Polish, no overdubs-only the raw energy of three of noise music's most formidable figures colliding in real time. The album serves as both a sonic artifact and a piece of historical documentation, immortalizing a legendary intergenerational performance at Tokyo's Wall & Wall. The album's artwork features striking photography from the event by Ryu Ika, capturing the intensity and spirit of the performance. The release has been expertly mastered by revered U. S. noise artist John Wiese, ensuring that every jagged edge and overwhelming frequency is preserved in it's full force.
