Light Beyond the Atoms on CD

Ron Hart has played with a variety of music artists, beginning at age 19 with Dionne Warwick. His work as a jazz pianist continued with saxophonists Sonny Stitt and Richie Cole, bebop guitarist Bill deArango (Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker), trumpeter Harry "Sweets" Edison (Count Basie, Ben Webster), bassist Larry Klein (Herbie Hancock, Joni Mitchell), drummer E.W. Wainwright (McCoy Tyner, Earl 'Fatha' Hines), and co-led the jazz fusion group Landress/Hart Group that released the 'Dancing Moments' vinyl LP on ShadlowLight Records in 1982. 'The Light Beyond the Atoms' CD was released by Ron's indie label, PureBeam Music and has been digitally remastered. The grand piano throughout the album was recorded at two live concerts. Synthesizer orchestration was later added by Ron to his solo piano recordings to create the musical suite on this CD. The four movements of the suite center around four soul qualities: compassion, purity, bliss and perseverance. A selection from the album was featured on Hearts of Space online radio and can be found in their archives under Program 889 "Wistful." Also appearing on that show are jazz greats Herbie Mann, Chick Corea, Gary Burton and Jan Garbarek. The following review was given by the show's founder and host since 1983, Stephen Hill: "This is the piano and synthesizer album we've been waiting for. Ron Hart combines the virtuosity and soulfulness of Keith Jarrett with the softness and warmth of romantic classical music. In this fine suite, he's taken his most inspired concert improvisations on grand piano and added synthesizer orchestrations to create a unique blend of spontaneity and structure. The rich string tones and multi-colored ambiences of the synthesizer enhance and complement the piano in a completely natural sounding integration. The lyricism and balance of this music is very appealing. You'll find yourself returning to Ron Hart's music again and again." PureBeam Music also released in October, 2011 a jazz CD by pianist Ron Hart and upright bassist Gary Fitzgerald entitled 'April in Paris,' featuring a unique treatment of Hit the Road, Jack. Cashbox Magazine listed the album in their Jazz Top 50 airplay during April, May and June of 2012. Two additional CD's on which Ron is featured are available on the Self-Realization Fellowship label: The Divine Gypsy (1997) and Where Golden Dreams Dwell (2003).
