Love Forever Lingers on on CD

For Sandy Lusco (Huffman) music has been a life endeavor. She started learning the guitar at age 10. At 13 she was performing and writing lyrics and melodies. At 14, her mother and mentor in vocal training, performing and songwriting took Sandy to a recording studio to make her first demo of 5 original songs. At that time, both of her parents were actively searching for opportunities for her talents to be heard. At age 15 they entered Sandy into the Jamboree U.S.A. sponsored 'Starquest' competition. It was on the stage of 'Jamboree In The Hills' ( Brush Run Park, Ohio) that Sandy (known by her maiden name Sandy Brickner) performed an original song entitled 'I Love That Country Music' and was awarded a year's contract to become the youngest regular member of the weekly live/radio show 'Jamboree U.S.A,' held at the Capital Music Hall in Wheeling, WV (the same show that would later give country singer Brad Paisley his start at an even younger age). She opened shows there for many nationally known artists such as Alabama, Hank Williams Jr., Alan Jackson, Tammy Wynette, Ronnie Milsap, Porter Wagoner, Donna Fargo, Johnny Paycheck, Bill Anderson and Boxcar Willie and did some traveling shows with the Jamboree staff band 'The New Generation Express.' Upon surrendering her life to Christ at the age of 19, music became a calling and ministry. Whether she is on a big stage performing, singing over the radio or internet, at nursing and retirement homes, hospitals, churches, homeless shelters, banquet halls, fairs, festivals, backyards, courtyards, etc... Sandy views EVERY performance and EVERY recording she makes as a God given opportunity to touch people with His love that flows from her music. Audience and listeners frequently describe her voice as angelic and spirit filled. Sandy Lusco Huffman is also an accomplished songwriter and recording artist. She has written both the lyrics and melodies for over 150+ gospel, country, pop, folk and children's songs. At 17, she recorded her first record of two original country tunes with the Jamboree U.S.A. staff band, under the JAM label (a compilation album of regular Jamboree artists). Since then she recorded two cassettes, one of a mix or originals and cover tunes and the other of 22 original children's songs. Her first CD "Where Are You?" contains 15 original contemporary Christian songs. 'Love Forever Lingers On' is Sandy's 2nd CD project. She composed all the lyrics and melodies for all the songs, with the exception of a bonus track of her mother, Fran Brickner, singing a song she wrote and originally recorded in the 1960's, entitled 'Whitewood Acres.' A number of the songs on this album such as 'A Little Fire' 'You're Always Listening' 'Lovin' A Man Who Don't Love Me' and 'It's Not Love' are her own honest reflections of her years of living as a wife (and mother of 3 sons) in an unhappy, divided marriage that eventually ended in divorce in 2002. 'Don't Have To Say A Word' 'The Love Of Our Family' and 'Won't Let Love Die' is her heart of what true marital love looks like. 'Mamma No' features the sweet background vocals of a very talented young singer named Vicki Rhine, who attended Sandy's church and was a member of her children's choir. She wrote 'Small Town Man' about a local, inspiring multi-generational farmer. Her years of ministry to the cause of homelessness was her inspiration for writing 'Old Man You Call Clown.' Sandy's whistling, her melody and lyrics covey her great love for the hills and quiet country life in southwestern PA in the tune 'This Is Home To Me'. It is more blessed to give than to receive is the message of her title song 'Love Forever Lingers On.' Lending his talents on the bass and harmonica to this album was her second husband, Ron Lusco, whom she married in 2005 with whom she had an active music ministry until his passing in 2011, the result of an 18 month battle with brain cancer. While lifting her prayers in Pennsylvania that God would bring her another supportive, Christian life partner, 600 miles away in Georgia, her future husband Rodney Huffman was praying for the same. Both experienced the pains of divorce and losing a spouse to cancer. The both believe their meeting was a divine appointment in answer to their prayers. They married in October of 2012 upon which time Sandy made a move to Georgia and began performing under the name of Sandy Lusco Huffman. Besides singing her own compositions, Sandy is an active performer with an amazing repertoire of music for audiences of ALL ages and has kept quite active doing so for 30+ years! Music spanning from the 1600's to the present, including traditional and contemporary gospel, hymns and worship music, traditional country, modern country, bluegrass gospel, country bluegrass, oldies, pop, folk, patriotic and holiday songs. Her rendition of Disney favorites, TV and movie theme songs, silly action and nursery rhyme songs mesmerize youthful audiences. For 15+ years she has entertained patients and their families at Children's Hospital in Pgh. Pa. on a monthly basis and also performed for youth at schools and at festivals. Sandy takes her calling and commitment as an Ambassador of Christ very seriously. She has a passion for spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and broken through her music and messages. She is experienced in leading entire church services, revivals, retreats in both word and song. Sandy finds great joy in leading young people to surrender their lives to Christ and in mentoring them to use their talents for the Lord.
