Still In Love on LP

The Jimi Barbiani Band is the current project of Italian blues rock slide guitarist Jimi Barbiani, who is considered one of the best in his field in Europe. His style is influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Joe Bonamassa, Jeff Beck, Free, and Gov't Mule. The band's unique sound is created by the interaction of it's members' different personalities. A driving rhythm section lays the foundation for the maestro's brilliant and impressive guitar playing. The band's three albums ("Back On The Tracks," "Blue Side," and "Boogie Down The Road - Live!") not only sold very well in his home country, but also found fans in the US. Videos by Jimi Barbiani sometimes reach over 500,000 views. Before heading back on tour through Europe in winter/spring 2026 - there are also a few festivals lined up - the new LP "Still In Love" will be released on CD, vinyl, and of course digitally. The centerpiece of the album is the almost eight-minute version of Prince's "Purple Rain." Here, Barbiani pulls out all the stops - the genius from Minnesota would have loved it. But the JBB also masters quieter and gentler tones, as the dreamy acoustic instrumental track "Little Martha" shows. The initially slightly sluggish "Spend Me Your Light," on the other hand, exudes plenty of Southern feeling, while "We Must Dream" pays homage to boogie - somewhere between Canned Heat and ZZ Top. If you like down-to-earth, catchy blues rock, this is the place for you.
