When Time Is Up on CD

Stilpon is a singer, songwriter and guitarist. His material has developed over the last 30 years from edgy art rock to folk oriented ballads to alt country rock. He has lived and played with bands in Athens, Boston, New York, and Paris. Since 2003 he has been based in London. Stilpon begun his career as a guitar player with ETERIA KALITECHNON (a Greek cult rock and roll band, led by the late Pavlos Sideropoulos) and later with BICYCLE, recording the eponymous album in 1980 (GRAMMA 910). This work has recently been presented in a documentary film 'T for Trouble' (soundtrack POLYTROPON 053/Universal). In 1983, Stilpon co-founded the band RODONDO ROCKS which toured in the south of Europe for more than 5 years. With them, Stilpon recorded 'Standard Deviation' in 1982 (CVR 1002), two tracks in the compilation 'Sounds and Noises from SGG' in 1984 (CVR 1009) and 'Land of Nod' in 1987 (Small Town Records CP91090). His song 'The Two Party System' was included in the 1987 soundtrack of the Barcelona young artists Biennale. Stilpon was the lead singer and guitar player for the band and authored almost all of the recorded material. In the 90s Stilpon was based in Paris from where he played around France with STILPON AND THE CLOUD COMMISSION, releasing a self produced EP in 1995 with 5 original songs (PBR 5001). From 1996 onwards, Stilpon's music went back to it's acoustic roots. His 2001 record 'Stilpon' (PBR 5002) contains a set of ballads recorded with the help of some prominent musicians such as Jean My Truong (Indochine, Bashung), Albin de la Simone (Bashung, Arthur H) and Danny Montgomery (JJ Cale, Tower of Power). Stilpon is a member of SACEM, the French society of authors, composers and publishers. His songs are published by Petit Bourgeois Publishing LLP. He is, of course, a truly split personality so there's a whole different CV of his in a whole different website... shouldn't be too difficult to figure it out better than he does.
