Bleeding Earth on CD

Thytopia is a young Rock & Roll fueled metal band from Carinthia, Austria. The band was founded in fall 2004 by the four musicans: Lidia (vox), Rich (guitars), Chris (bass) and last but not least Berny (drums). The band is influenced by bands like Iron Maiden, Guns & Roses, Slayer and Kreator. Each of the musicans has his/her own favorites, which creates a very Thytopia typical sound and style. To put the bands style in some sort of category or genre is difficult. It is Rock & Roll with a lot of Thrash, some Death, Melodic and Progressiv influences. After a short time the first live set was written and the band hit the Stage at the RTN Metal Camp contest 2005, in which they placed 3rd. This first success was followed by a lot of club gigs and underground festivals like the Krawallhalla open air, the Sauzipf open air, the Metal Gods festival and the Heavy Metal Breakdown (see 'gigs' on our homepage). Followed by some more festival gigs (such as: Rock The Lake: with One Man Army, Graveworm, The Vision Bleak; and the Austro Rock Festival: with Russkaja, Blind Petition, No Bros and many more) and gigs abroad (Germany: Princess Of The Dawn, Metal Chaos Erfurt, Underground Rising; and Czech Republic: Falcons Rock Festival, MC Vipers Open Air, Woodstock Vol.6). In 2008 THYTOPIA finally found their way into the studio to record their first album, called 'BLEEDING EARTH'. Recorded and mixed in Carinthia together with Werner Smretschnig, the album was mastered by Andy Classen at his Stage One Studio (Germany). While the cover artwork and all the layout was done by PsyXX art (USA). On November 7th 2008 'BLEEDING EARTH' was officially released during a concert in the band's hometown, Villach.
