An invaluable historical collection for opera fans will be released. When you listen to them, you will notice the surprising fact that there was a time when works from Wissee and Verdi's well-known works were performed in German at all the opera houses in many German-speaking cities. Singers such as Fritz Wunderlich had to relearn their roles when performing on the world stage. Later, Karajan broke this tradition. They performed their opera in the original language on the stages of Vienna, Salzburg and Milan.

The highlights of this German singing opera were all produced in major studios in the 1960s. Casting is also exceptional from today. The singers of the era sang until the role of the singer, and have reached a stunning level as a voice art. Enjoy performances by great singers such as Fritz Wunderlich, Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Brigitte Fassbender, Ernst Heffriger, Ilmgart Seefried, Rita Streich, and Schandl Kornya.

Carmen by Guillera Ritz, Ernst Kotzup, Franz Klass and the Baden State Opera Orchestra conducted by Marcel Couloe is the first CD.
