In England, after formal study, he played with John Dankworth, the visiting Gil Evans, Mike Westbrook, Chris Hunter, Carla Bley, Ornette Coleman ('Skies of America') and Clark Tracey. Baker also worked extensively with Stan Tracey and played at repertory concerts. His Isn't It set for Spotlite includes an effective version of Bix Beiderbecke's 'In a Mist.' Digipak.
