What if the forest could speak? Since their debut, Les Mamans du Congo & Rrobin have been building a body of work at the intersection of cultural transmission and experimentation. Following a well-received self-titled debut album, then *Ya Mizolé*, which asserted a strong Afro-retro-futurist and feminist identity, the collective continues on it's path with *WA SANGI*: "listen to the forest." This third album marks a shift. Their perspective broadens, without ever straying from their original anchor: women, mothers, and their role in passing on traditions. Here, it's no longer just about preservation. It's about raising awareness. Musically, WA SANGI deepens the band's signature sound by asserting a unique creative approach.
